Important Information for limited Visa Application Centre operation during Covid - 19 restrictions
1.The Sri Lanka New Zealand Visa Application Centre (VAC) that had safely resumed limited operations from 7 September 2020, will now continue to receive applications both by post and in person, with the lifting of local government curfew. Please be aware that an appointment is required in order to submit an application in person.
2.Call centre services are currently unavailable however VACs can be contacted via email. VACs will endeavour to respond to emails within 24 hours however there may be delays due to limited operational activity during this time.
3.Current operational days and timing for VAC operation, on all working days except public holidays, are:
a.Operational Days: Monday-Wednesday-Friday
b.Operational Timings: 9 am to 1 pm
c.Visa application centre will endeavour to respond to all email queries at the earliest.
4.From 10 August 2020, the ability for people outside New Zealand to apply for most temporary visas has been suspended and the New Zealand border remains closed to everyone but New Zealand citizens, New Zealand residents and those who meet the border exceptions criteria.
5.Persons meeting the exceptional criteria, or who have been instructed by Immigration New Zealand to send their passport to a VAC, are encouraged to submit their documents by post or courier. If you wish to submit in person an appointment is required. These can be made through the “Appointment” tab on this website.
