Michael J. Fox plays Johnny B Goode in Back to the Future, and when he gets so into the music that he knocks over his amp, the room is silent.
On Friday night, after Perry Farrell, the “godfather of alternative music,” slammed his guitarist Dave Navarro with his fist during a song and then, visibly agitated, squared up to him and launched another punch, driving Navarro backwards, the Boston audience went silent.
Crew members restrained Farrell after the brawl and bundled him off stage as crowds booed.
The show stopped when the house lights came on a few minutes later.
The two seasoned band members' unexpected interaction was filmed by audience members from numerous angles.
Fans at the freshly reformed Jane's Addiction concert on social media stated that Perry shouted at Navarro during an earlier song, causing “problems”.
They reportedly continued throughout the concert, which featured Summertime Rolls, unfortunately.
A performance attendee cameraman tweeted that Perry “had a huge bottle of wine with him all evening” on X.
