Why did Gwen Stefani say she found ‘true love: Gwen Stefani’s lyrics are a nostalgic treat. On Friday, the 54-year-old released “Somebody Else’s,” the next song from her upcoming album “Bouquet.” The country-rock track was unrestrained.

Stefani explains why she left an ex and is happier now that he’s “somebody else’s problem.” She sings, “I don’t know what a heart like mine was doin’ in a love like that. ” I don’t know why a lady like me was with a man like you, but now I have true love.

Stefani elaborates in the chorus: Now that I’ve found the real thing / You don’t compare / And I don’t care that you’re somebody else’s / And it doesn’t even hurt my heart / And I pray for them whoever they are.

The singer told fans, “If I could go back in time, I would erase you, but I couldn’t go back there again. Stefani describes her ex as “narcissistic, semi-psychotic, so manipulated,” singing: I bought it every time / But not this time / You gaslit, my world was burning / Had to leave before it stopped turning / So happy I could cry / ‘Cause you’re not mine.

Many thought the singer was talking to her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

Stefani and Bush frontman, 58, divorced in 2015 after 20 years together and nearly 13 years married. Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, are their boys.

The No Doubt singer married Blake Shelton after meeting on “The Voice” in 2014 and dating a year later. The 48-year-old country artist was divorcing Miranda Lambert, 40. Stefani married Shelton in July 2021.

Rossdale moved on in May, dating electro-pop musician Xhoana X. Despite their split, Stefani and Rossdale co-parent their children, with the rocker reflecting on their relationship in August.

He nostalgically told The Post, “We had an amazing time, you know?” It’s weird how life works out—all that and then nothing. This is incredible.”

The band member also shared his wishes in March.

I’d like to connect more with the individual who made them. Rossdale was talking to Amy Robach and T. J.
Holmes’ podcast “Amy and T.J.” I just feel horrible for my kids. That mattered most.”

Rossdale said, “The rest is just part of the territory, and there are other things…” If I could be candid, it would be the most profound thing: wish I could have prevented that from happening to them.”

The musician, who has a 35-year-old daughter named Daisy Lowe from a previous relationship, nevertheless supports his and Stefani’s children despite their new romances.

Rosedale said, “I go to a lot of events where there’s the other team, so to speak,” and he was proud of his fatherhood consistency. My heart knows I’m consistent. Yes, I’m flawed like everyone else and things didn’t go as planned.”
